Peacock kind of limped to the end of August, but it’s making up for lost time in the first week of September.

One of the most notable arrivals this month is Terrifier 3, an indie horror flick that became one of 2024’s biggest success stories.

That’s the first pick for the Watch With Us team’s three must-watch Peacock movies to binge this weekend.

Our remaining picks include a football-related comedy and the cinematic continuation of a very popular British show.

Peacock’s New Movies and TV Shows in September 2025: ‘The Paper’ and More

‘Terrifier 3’ (2024)

Terrifier 3 represents a rare case of an unrated horror film that became a runaway box-office hit. David Howard Thornton reprises his role as Art the Clown, an enigmatic killer for whom death is only a slight inconvenience. Art has even corrupted one of his first victims, Victoria Heyes (Samantha Scaffidi), while the woman who killed him in Terrifier 2, Sienna Shaw (Lauren LaVera), languishes in a mental asylum.

A few years after the second film, Art and Victoria emerge from hiding just as Sienna is released from custody. As the partners-in-crime embark on a Christmas killing spree, Sienna is forced to once again confront Art in a battle to the death.

Terrifier 3 is streaming on Peacock.

‘The Replacements’ (2000)

Since the NFL is back in season this weekend, it feels appropriate that The Replacements is celebrating its 25th anniversary on Peacock. This film is loosely inspired by the 1987 NFL strike, although it’s more accurate to call it a sports comedy rather than a true story. Keanu Reeves stars as Shane Falco, a former college quarterback who is recruited by Coach Jimmy McGinty (Gene Hackman) when the league’s players go on strike mid-season.

Shane isn’t the only college flameout to get a second chance at the big leagues, and his team of misfits may actually be good enough to make it into the playoffs. This newfound good fortune even inspires Shane to strike up a romance with a cheerleader, Annabelle Farrell (Brooke Langton). However, the team’s unity may come crashing down when its professional quarterback, Eddie Martel (Brett Cullen), crosses the picket line to steal Shane’s glory for himself.

The Replacements is streaming on Peacock.

‘Downton Abbey’ (2019)

If you’ve never seen the hit British drama Downton Abbey, the entire series is available on Peacock. The first of three theatrical movies is also called Downton Abbey, and it takes place a few years after the series finale. In 1927, Robert Crawley (Hugh Bonneville) and his wife, Cora (Elizabeth McGovern), learn that they are set to receive King George V (Simon Jones) and Queen Mary (Geraldine James) at the Crawley estate at Downton Abbey.

As the Crawley family’s servants prepare for the state event, they are rudely treated by the king’s advance staff and entourage. In the midst of family drama and other chaos in the Downton Abbey household, an assassin slips in undetected and plans to murder King George before his visit is over.

Downton Abbey is streaming on Peacock.
