Sharna Burgess is not OK with anyone commenting on her child’s appearance.

On Tuesday, September 2, Burgess, 40, shut down a troll via Instagram after the person suggested her and fiancé Brian Austin Green’s son Zane, 3, “looks like a girl.”

“Damn now even this boy looks like a girl why do all his boys look like girls?” the commenter wrote, referencing Green’s three children with his ex-wife, Megan Fox — Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 9. (He also shares son Kassius, 23, with ex Vanessa Marcil.)

Burgess clapped back at the troll, responding, “Take you’re [sic] account off private so I can comment on how you look too 👀.”

Sharna Burgess Slams ‘Ridiculous’ Criticism About Not Cutting Her Kids’ Hair

The former DWTS pro has never shied away from speaking out in defense of her child and stepchildren, taking to her Instagram Stories in 2023 to slam those questioning Zane’s top-knot hairstyle.

“I had someone comment on the fact that his hair tie this morning is pink,” she said. “I don’t get this whole ‘pink is for girls’ and me putting a pink hair tie [doesn’t] symbolize anything. I don’t get this whole ‘long hair is feminine or for girls.’ I mean, I’m sorry, have you seen Jason Momoa? I need to do a post [on my Instagram] of all the men that majority of women, and probably majority of men, find attractive and so many of them have long hair.”

Burgess also pointed out that the “f—ing cover[s] of romance novels” predominantly feature leading men with long, flowing locks. “Like, it is just wild to me that when it’s kids, it’s like we’re pushing some agenda on them,” she added. “It’s so f—ing dumb!”

She concluded that she was “annoyed” by “ignorant, narrow-minded” people and “their dumb comments.”

Green and Fox also fully support their children’s self-expression and have been open about their desire for their kids to embrace their gender identities, which include wearing their hair long and sporting traditionally marketed girls’ clothes.

“He had stopped wearing dresses for a while,” Fox, 39, who also shares daughter 5-month-old daughter Saga with ex Machine Gun Kelly, said of her eldest Noah during a 2019 episode of The Talk. “He just wore one two days ago to school. He came home and I was like, ‘How was it? Did any of the friends at school have anything to say?’ And he was like, ‘Well, all the boys laughed when I came in, but I don’t care. I love dresses too much.’”

The actress added, “I send him to a really liberal, hippie, school, but even there, here in California, he still has little boys going, ‘Boys don’t wear dresses,’ or, ‘Boys don’t wear pink.’ So we’re going through that now. I’m trying to teach him to be confident no matter what anyone else says.”

Sharna Burgess Gushes Over Son’s ‘Bond’ With Brian Austin Green’s Kids

Noah and siblings were on hand to support Zane on his first day of preschool, with Burgess sharing a video of the brood cheering their little brother on.

“Are we going to school?,” Zane asked one of his half-siblings, who answered, “Yeah, are you excited?”

Zane smiled while holding a first day of school sign up for the camera.

“Zane, turn it around,” the sibling said. “Look, Zaney’s! It says Zaney’s first day of school!”

Burgess then asked her son, “Are you a big boy?” before showing a clip of herself crying after drop-off.

“I am utterly unwell… when did I blink?” the dancer shared in the caption of the video on Tuesday. “The end.. I SOBBED in the car afterwards. I also cried last night and this morning. I made him a video that I save[d] for him on a hard drive, telling him how proud I am, sharing stories about this part of his life and what he is like. I’ve been doing this since his 1st birthday on milestone moments and sometimes when things happen I want to remember and share with his older self. It’s wild how big he is, and yet 2 days ago he was talking about remembering being in my belly which I’ve told him so no biggie however… he said there was water in there and he liked it and he could hear music and me. He’s also told me he used to be a woman and had a cat named Carol 👀 Its wild watching him grow into this life and this body but still remember details of another time. I know one day he will forget those things so I always try to document it all for him.”

She concluded her post, “My big boy is still little… but today when he woke up he felt a little bigger, a little more grown, and a little bit less my baby. I am not well. And yet I couldn’t be more proud ✨💕 His siblings hyped him up this morning as you can hear, and we all went to support his first morning drop off. My blended tribe is my everything. We are so lucky ♥.”
