Scheana Shay made a rare comment on the status of her friendship with Lala Kent after rumors of a feud spread.
During the Friday, August 29, episode of the “Scheananigans” podcast, Scheana, 40, was asked where they stand after hinting that she was upset that several friends — including Lala — didn’t post anything about her My Good Side memoir.
“I think it was like maybe a week after it came out, I saw she posted a slide [with the book]. There was nothing else that she posted,” Scheana, 40, recalled. “I had reached out to her a couple days after all of the boxes were delivered. Because yes, you do expect your closest friends to post and support.”
Scheana was surprised Lala, 35, didn’t share a post supporting her book release sooner.

“I sent everyone a really nice PR box. I’m sure you guys saw some others who posted it,” she continued. “And I reached out [to Lala] and I was like, ‘Hey, did your box come? Because I hadn’t seen it posted yet.’ I just wanted to make sure I didn’t need to reach out to the publisher to be like, ‘Hey, Lala didn’t get her box.’”
Scheana added: “She said that her brother and her mom deal with the packages and that she would have them check. But then a week went by and the box didn’t get posted. So I’m assuming she got it because she posted the book.”
While Scheana didn’t offer further details on her friendship with Lala, she noted that her 4-year-old daughter, Summer, and Lala’s eldest, Ocean, were “still friends” as well. The update came after some Vanderpump Rules fans questioned why Scheana and Lala weren’t publicly spending as much time together.
Lala’s delay in sharing the memoir came after the revelation that Brock Davies cheated on Scheana, which she revealed in My Good Side when it was released in July. Lala was later asked whether she knew about the affair — which happened in 2021 when Scheana was pregnant with their daughter, Summer.
“Yes, I did. But not for a while. So that [excerpt] came out and Scheana called me and said, ‘I just want to give you the heads-up that tomorrow this article is coming out with the excerpt. And I may need to tap you in. I’m very nervous,’” Lala recalled on the “Give Them Lala” podcast in July. “I won’t share exactly what she said on the phone because that’s between her and her husband. But I thought the excerpt that was pulled from her book was beautifully written. Well done.”

Lala noted that she has “had time to process” the revelation that Brock, 35, cheated on her friend.
“Not that that matters. I’m not in the relationship. Brock has always been tremendous — well, not always, we’ve had our ups and downs and I’ve said some things to him and called out some red flags to me — but since then, what I have watched is him being a great father to Summer Moon,” she said. “I’ve seen him with [my daughters] Ocean and Sosa. I just find him to be a very hands-on and great dad.”
While addressing the surprising news, Lala acknowledged that people will “say whatever they want” about Brock — and his past.
“I certainly did. What I know about life is it doesn’t always go as we planned. There are a million moments that I look back on in my own life and go, ‘Damn, if I could get a redo I would really do that differently.’ I know for a fact he feels that way,” she continued. “This is my own opinion.”
