A group of masked men were among those who attempted to enter a hotel housing asylum seekers in west London.
The men were among larger groups who marched on marched on three migrant hotels on Saturday afternoon.
Five people were arrested following the demonstrations outside a Crowne Plaza, Novotel, and Holiday Inn in West Drayton.
Metropolitan Police said at around noon two anti-asylum groups marched to the Crowne Plaza.
“A group of masked men attempted to enter the hotel via the rear entrance, damaging the security hoarding,” they said.
“Officers were already in attendance and extra officers were deployed to assist.”
It is unclear if any of the masked men were arrested.

Police say a “breakaway protest group” moved towards the nearby Novotel on Cherry Lane before some of the crowd moved towards the Holiday Inn.
“Officers enforced cordons in the area to prevent a breach of the peace and three arrests were made. Two officers suffered minor injuries,” the force said.
A Section 35 dispersal order was put in place, allowing officers to direct people to leave the area and not return “if they suspect they may cause disorder”.
Police added: “Two more arrests were made as officers dispersed the crowd.”
