Maine’s public universities are seeing an uptick in students for the fall semester.
A spokesperson said more than 25,000 students are enrolled in the University of Maine System for the upcoming semester. The system comprises seven schools.
That number has steadily increased since 2021.
Nearly 5,000 students are enrolled in graduate programs, which is a new record.
The university system said it’s working on new ways to improve its growing community.
