Tommy Robinson will not be charged over an alleged assault at St Pancras station last month after the Crown Prosecution Service decided “there was not a realistic prospect of conviction”.
The 42-year-old far-right activist was arrested at Luton Airport on 4 August in connection with the incident, which took place on 28 July.
Footage on social media appeared to show Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, walking back and forth next to a man lying motionless on the ground.
British Transport Police said in a statement – which does not name Robinson – that the alleged victim “did not wish to provide a statement to the investigation”.
The force added officers had gathered evidence, “including CCTV footage and witness statements”, and had presented the prosecution file to the CPS.
“Following a review of the available evidence, the CPS concluded that there was not a realistic prospect of conviction and therefore there would be no criminal charges in this case,” it said.
