Billy Idol and Joan Jett’s concert on the Bangor waterfront has been canceled.
Waterfront Concerts announced Tuesday that the night’s show was called off because of an illness.
“We’re sending our best wishes for a quick recovery,” Waterfront Concerts said without elaboration.
It wasn’t clear whether Idol or Jett was ill. But Idol has endured health struggles in recent years, including a MRSA infection that required three procedures. Idol bowed out of a 2022 tour with Journey because of that.
Anyone who bought a ticket will receive a refund at the point of purchase, except for those who bought tickets through Tickmaster, which will issue an automatic refund, according to Waterfront Concerts.
