A 50-year-old man was seriously injured in a crash in Montville on Friday morning.
The crash was reported at 7:03 a.m. near the intersection of South Mountain Valley Highway (Route 220) and Hog Back Road, according to Maine State Police.
At the scene, first responders found the driver “unconscious and in serious condition,” police said. The man, whose name has not been released, was brought by LifeFlight helicopter to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.
The incident is still under investigation, but police said speed was one of the primary causes of the crash.
