
Maine’s version of the Daytona 500, the Oxford 250, will go green this Sunday night from historic Oxford Plains Speedway.
Another huge crowd is expected with a full field set to go.
Besides being one of the nation’s top short-track races, it’s also unique. You can have the fastest car at Oxford and still finish last.
It’s a combination of speed, skill and timely pit stops that are the keys to success, not to mention getting a great Sunday morning draw, which determines a driver’s starting position.
Farmingdale’s Johnny Clark won this great race back in 2020 but with no fans in the stands due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He’s hoping to find his way back to victory lane, only this time with a sold-out crowd on hand.
