As country singer Jelly Roll’s remarkable weight loss journey continues, wife Bunnie Xo is playfully showing her support.
Bunnie Xo (real name Alyssa DeFord) shared a TikTok video on Tuesday, August 19, that highlighted the almost-200 pounds shed by her husband in recent months.
The clip showed Jelly Roll (real name Jason DeFord), 40, standing against a wall and chatting to Bunnie, 44, before she body slammed the musician twice. “When you have to check and make sure he’s still your squish after all the weight loss,” Bunnie wrote over the video and added the caption, “Bestie #jellyandbunnie.”
While Bunnie’s initial body slam came as a surprise to Jelly Roll, the “Son of a Sinner” hitmaker was seen opening his arms up and inviting the second before a wide grin spread across his face and Bunnie leaned in to hug her man.

Jelly Roll was then seen pulling Bunnie in tighter for an extended embrace before cheekily cupping her backside and puckering up to kiss his wife.
Jelly Roll spoke publicly about his weight loss mission, which started last year, in April while appearing on the Big Night AHT live show. He told host Pat McAfee that he initially tipped the scales at 540 pounds, but weighed just “357 pounds” when he checked the scale the morning of his April 9 interview.
“I’m gonna lose another 100 pounds,” he added at the time, before noting that once he hits that further milestone, he planned to “go skydiving” with Bunnie in Sweden.
News of the singer’s plans to shed weight first came to light after an interview with People was published on April 13, 2024. He told the outlet at the time that he was “probably down 70-something pounds,” as he was “really kicking [butt].”

Jelly Roll also outlined his workout regimen to the outlet. “I’m doing two to three miles a day, four to six days a week. I’m doing 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna, six minutes in a cold plunge every day,” he said at the time, adding that he tweaked his eating habits to ensure he was “eating healthy right now.”
Bunnie, who has been married to Jelly Roll since 2016, reflected on her husband’s weight loss achievements during the August 8 episode of her “Dumb Blonde” podcast. “He’s so tiny now, it’s crazy,” she said at the time. “I didn’t realize how big he was until now. I told him, ‘It took my seeing a video of you from last year to now to see the difference.’ It’s crazy. … He looks so good. I’m so proud of him.”
