Police have concluded their investigation into the death of Gogglebox star George Gilbey.
Mr Gilbey sustained traumatic injuries to his head and torso and died in Shoeburyness, Essex, on 27 March last year.
Coroner’s officer Deborah Frost told a previous inquest hearing that the 40-year-old had been “working on a roof when he fell through a plastic skylight, landing on the ground below”.
Two men who were arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter in relation to Mr Gilbey’s death will face no further police action, Essex Police said in a statement on Wednesday.
“Essex Police have confirmed their investigation into the death of George Gilbey last year has concluded,” the force said.
Police said the criminal investigation remains open and will be led by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
HSE inspector Natalie Prince said the agency “will continue to thoroughly investigate George’s tragic death” and “aim to establish if there have been any breaches of health and safety law”.
She added: “We are in regular contact with George’s family and our thoughts remain with them at this time.”
Mr Gilbey was best known for appearing on the Channel 4 series Gogglebox – on which participants watch and comment on TV shows from the previous week.

The family first appeared on the second series of Gogglebox in 2013 but were dropped the following year when the reality star signed up for the 14th series of Celebrity Big Brother in 2014, reaching the final.
