Mike McLusky is coming back to TV as Mayor of Kingstown gears up for its fourth season and lead actor Jeremy Renner gets a new costar.
Paramount+ announced in February 2025 that Edie Falco will be joining the series as newcomer Nina Hobbs. Fans are getting a first look at her character ahead of the show’s highly anticipated season 4.
“What I love about what we’ve constructed is that it has an unpredictable velocity that you cannot look away from,” the show’s cocreator and star Hugh Dillon (Ian Ferguson) told Entertainment Weekly in August 2025. “[Falco’s] character is that personified.”
Her character is full of “unpredictability,” Dillon teased, adding that it’s “forever fascinating.”

Renner made his debut as Mike when the Paramount+ series premiered in November 2021. The show teed up his rise as the “mayor” of fictional Kingstown, Michigan, after his onscreen brother Mitch McLusky (Kyle Chandler) was murdered during the series premiere.
“The past doesn’t catch up with you. It reloads,” Dillon told EW of the upcoming season. “So, it’s coming and, in Mike’s case, it is right there. And Mike isn’t somebody who runs, and that’s what’s interesting. He stands and fights and he’s not ruled by fear or greed. So, we just follow the truth of this character.”
Renner, who is also an executive producer on the show, teased the upcoming season via Instagram in June 2025, when they officially wrapped filming.
“It’s OFFICIAL !! Season 4 complete !!” he captioned a photo at the time. “Thank you to the cast and crew and most importantly … the FANS — this season will be worth the wait I promise.”

How Did ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ Season 3 End?
The season 3 finale featured Milo Sunter’s (Aidan Gillen) return after he faked his death and confirmed that he was the mysterious figure behind some major events. However, Milo (finally) died, for real this time. Russian mafia member Konstantin (Yorick van Wageningen) was also killed.
Iris (Emma Laird) finally decided to leave Kingstown (and Mike) in the rearview, but it was revealed at the end of the episode that she died by suicide. While Iris’ death was shocking to viewers, perhaps the biggest moment from the episode was when Mike’s brother Kyle (Taylor Handley) got arrested for attempted murder of his boss, Robert (Hamish Allan-Headley), during the bridge shootout.
Who Is Returning to ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ Season 4?
Renner will, obviously, be reprising his role as Mike, with Handley returning as an incarcerated Kyle. Dillon will return as homicide detective Ian, joined by Necar Zadegan as Evelyn and Tobi Bamtefa as Deverin “Bunny” Washington. Allan-Headley is also set to appear as Robert, who will seemingly answer for Kyle’s arrest.
Are There New Characters in ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ Season 4?
Falco’s Nina Hobbs will apparently be someone Mike goes head-to-head with throughout the season.
“I could watch her just in the monitors,” Dillon told EW about Falco. “She’s just so effortless. I’ve been a fan of hers for so long and then when you see her just at work, in the [Mayor of Kingstown] world, and with Jeremy Renner … it’s explosive.”
Lennie James is also joining the show as Frank Moses, and Laura Benanti will debut as Cindy Stephens.
When Will ‘Mayor of Kingstown’ Season 4 Premiere?
The season 4 premiere will be available to stream via Paramount+ on Sunday, October 26.
