A Bangor woman has been charged with arson after allegedly setting fire to something outside a home in the Somerset County town of Cambridge.

The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office responded on Monday to a house on Ham Hill Road for a domestic disturbance, and the state fire marshal’s office was subsequently called in to investigate a fire outside the house, the fire marshal’s office said in a news release.

Investigators determined that the fire involved personal property and had been set intentionally. They declined to say what specifically was burned, citing the ongoing investigation.

Police arrested Jaime Johnson, of Bangor, who was not the owner of the burned property and did not live at the residence, according to the fire marshal’s office. She is charged with arson, a Class A felony; domestic violence criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon; domestic violence assault; and violating conditions of release.

She is being held on $25,000 cash bail at the Somerset County Jail.
