A person was hit and killed by an Amtrak train on Saturday, said Scarborough police.
Scarborough fire and police departments responded to the train tracks near the Pine Point Road overpass at around 7 p.m., where the person had been hit.
Police say the person, whose name was not released, was declared dead at the scene.
