Bunnie Xo has heard the rampant chatter and speculation about her marriage to country star Jelly Roll.
“Someone said the other day, ‘They used to always be together, and now you never see them together,’” Bunnie, 45, said on the Friday, August 8, episode of her “Dumb Blonde” podcast. “I’m like, ‘Do you guys not know that for the past six months [that] I’ve been trying to make a baby?’”
Jelly Roll, 40, and Bunnie have been married since 2016.
“My husband has to work to f***ing bring home the bacon,” Bunnie added on Friday’s episode, detailing the ways they make their marriage work within the confines of his career. “Luckily, I get the luxury of working from home. He doesn’t. He has to make appearances, but I literally have been on IVF meds for f***ing six months and going through heartbreak and f***ing so much s***.”

She added, “That’s why you haven’t seen me [because] mama’s about to pop out. I gotta remind them. I might even do a sexy photoshoot and piss off all the f***ing [haters].”
Bunnie and Jelly Roll (real name Jason Bradley DeFord) have previously been candid about their fertility journey with the help of in vitro fertilization. (The “Save Me” singer is also a father of two children from previous relationships.)
“This journey with IVF, we sat down a couple months ago,” Bunnie said on her podcast last month. “And I was just like, I feel like I’ve accomplished so much in my life. And the only thing that’s left is to raise a baby and garden. I’m in my baby mama [and] gardening era.”
She added, “J was like … ‘I would love to have a baby with you.’ And that was not the response that I thought he would say. I was just like, ‘Wow really? Have you always felt like that?’ He was like, ‘Yeah, I will always have a baby with you. If you want to have a baby, cool. If you don’t, cool. Whatever you want to do.’ So now he’s, like, really excited about it.”

Jelly Roll and Bunnie have also discussed the possibility of welcoming a baby via surrogate.
“I’m just going to be honest with you guys. I am not going to carry the baby,” Bunnie said at the time. “I am not mentally well enough to let my hormones get out of whack. … I have gotten to a place where I’m even-keeled. My anxiety is finally good. I don’t have depression — of course, I have down days and stuff like that, but nothing like what I went through in 2019.”
Through it all, Jelly Roll has also been on a wellness journey.
“He’s so tiny now, it’s crazy,” Bunnie gushed on Friday about her husband’s 200-pound weight loss. “I didn’t realize how big he was until now. I told him, ‘It took my seeing a video of you from last year to now to see the difference.’ It’s crazy. … He looks so good. I’m so proud of him.”
