Brooke Hogan’s husband, Steven Oleksy, shared a tribute to late father-in-law Hulk Hogan.
“It’s with mixed emotions that I write this post,” Oleksy, 39, captioned an Instagram post on Tuesday, August 5. “While I may not have been part of the journey from the very beginning, I was fortunate to witness the kind of love my wife had for you — a love so powerful it set a bar I can only hope to reach as I begin my own journey as a father to our daughter.”
Oleksy called his wife’s love for her dad “deep, unwavering, and beautifully raw” despite her and Hulk having a tumultuous relationship. (The father-daughter duo were estranged for years. Us Weekly confirmed last month that Brooke had written herself out of Hulk’s will.)
“Through good times and bad, she loved you with everything she had. Her mission in life was to protect you. That kind of love doesn’t fade,” the caption continued. “I feel we left a lot of conversation on the table and many questions unanswered. And while I try to understand that, I thank you — for blessing me with a wife whose love and loyalty can’t be bought, and whose strength has made me stronger than I ever thought possible.”

Oleksy hopes that his daughter, Molly Gene, will love him like Brooke loved Hulk. (Oleksy and Brooke welcomed fraternal twins Molly Gene and Oliver Andrew this past January.)
“As I told you in one of my last text messages, no one in Brooke’s life can replace you. But my promise to you is this: I will love, care for, and protect your daughter with everything I have,” he added. “I will honor you by giving her my love—fully, fiercely, and endlessly. And I will always work to make you proud.”
Oleksy’s caption concluded with, “To my father-in-law: Until the next Chop. You will be forever in our hearts.”
Brooke Hogan Responds to Criticism for Missing Dad Hulk’s WWE Tributes
Oleksy’s social media post came nearly two weeks after the WWE legend’s death. Hulk died on July 24 at age 71 following a cardiac arrest in his Florida home.
Brooke and Oleksy did not attend Hulk’s funeral on Tuesday, rather taking their kids to his “favorite place,” the beach.
“Daddy, we honored you in the simplest way that agreed with my soul. We took our babies to the beach, and put them in the same salty waters you loved. Molly loved the water. I think she’ll be a ‘little fish’ as you called me,” she captioned an Instagram post. “We love you and honor the things that made you so special. Every grain of sand and every wave reminded me of being your beach baby, and brought us closer to you. I pray you are at peace and know how dearly I love you.”
