The US GENIUS Act helped drive the overall transaction volume of stablecoins in July, according to a report by Sentora Research.
The surge in onchain activity pushed stablecoin transactions to $1.5T, which marked a new all-time high for the sector. The total transaction volume went up 19% compared to the previous month.
The new legislation provides greater clarity on stablecoins and other digital assets, thus easing institutional and retail fears about the sector and boosting adoption.

Stablecoin Volume Hits New ATH at $1.5T
Sentora Research revealed in its latest report that the transaction volume of stablecoins broke the $1.5T mark in July.
This surpasses the previous ATH of $1.4T set in August last year, and marks a considerable rebound from the $1.26T recorded in June, 2025.
Circle’s $USDC stablecoin led the market in July with over $748B, which accounts for nearly 50% of the total volume during the period.
Meanwhile, Tether’s $USDT came in second with $420B, or 28% of the volume.
The surge in stablecoin activity can be attributed to the signing of the GENIUS Act into law on July 18. This provided the regulatory framework for stablecoins, which boosted their stability and trust among consumers.
