The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kim Zolciak addressed why she borrowed money from her daughters Ariana and Brielle Biermann — and whether she’s paid them back.

During the series premiere of Bravo’s Next Gen NYC in June, Ariana, 23, claimed her mom and estranged father, Kroy Biermann, “took my money” after she began making significant earnings through Instagram brand deals as a teenager.

“I can’t say exactly what they used it on because I just found out that it was gone two years ago,” Ariana said during a confessional interview. “I don’t even know how much money I made over the time period. Nobody was honest. There was no transparency. And I have no idea where it actually went.”

Kim, 47, appeared as a guest on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen on Thursday, July 31, and was put in the hot seat about how much she took from Ariana and what she spent the money on. (Ariana and boyfriend Hudson McLeroy were in the studio audience.)

Inside Ariana Biermann’s Relationship With Parents Kim and Kroy

“Actually, the rug was pulled out from the Zolciaks, and Ariana’s money was spent on bills, to be honest. I was left holding the bag for the family,” Kim told host Andy Cohen.

When Cohen asked whether Kim had also borrowed money from Brielle, 28, she responded, “Brielle paid an electric bill here and there. I was left with nothing, so I had to figure it out fast.”

“The money I borrowed from Ariana, I paid her back … for the bills and stuff. And as far as what she’s made and all that stuff, I don’t have the spreadsheets, but she will be [paid back],” Kim added.

During her own WWHL appearance back in June, Ariana shared more details about the financial support she provided her parents, who are going through a divorce.

“I would like to very much clarify. Everybody wants this to be just my mother. This was a joint partnership in taking the money,” Ariana said.

Asked whether she “figured out how much money” her parents had taken from her, Ariana said, “No, and I don’t really want to know.” She added that “the only time my mom asks me for money is if it’s regarding the bills, or it’s something that she needs for the kids.” (Kim and Kroy, 39, also share sons Kroy Jr., 14, and Kash, 12, and twins Kaia and Kane, 11.)

Despite some animosity over her parents’ spending, Ariana said at the time she had “reconciled” with her mom.

“Nobody wants to be put in situations that they are put into. My mom, no matter what, will be my best friend forever,” Ariana shared. “Money should never ruin a relationship with your family. You can always make more money, and God blesses us in that way. I have my mom and that’s all that matters.”
