The first weekend of August has arrived just in time for Peacock subscribers, and that means a lot of fresh movies are available to stream.

One of the new additions is Borderline, a Peacock-exclusive thriller that’s bypassing a larger theatrical release and going straight-to-streaming.

That’s just one of the Watch With Us team’s picks for the three underrated Peacock movies to watch this weekend.

Our other choices include an Oscar-winning thriller and a crime caper flick starring a pair of well-known movie stars.

9 New Movies to Watch This Weekend on Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu, Prime Video, More

‘Borderline’ (2025)

Borderline may not technically be a horror film, but scream queen Samara Weaving may have plenty of reasons to scream in this thriller. Weaving plays Sofia, a pop idol in the ’90s who is being stalked by a deranged fan, Duerson (Ray Nicholson), who has already severely injured her bodyguard, Bell (Eric Dane).

Less than a year later, Duerson and his new accomplice, Penny (Alba Baptista), escape prison and target Sofia again. Bell still hasn’t fully recovered from his first encounter with Duerson, and that may leave Sofia on her own against a madman who believes that they are hopelessly in love with each other.

Borderline is streaming on Peacock.

‘Argo’ (2012)

As incredible as it sounds, Argo really is based on a true story. It also earned director and star Ben Affleck an Oscar for Best Picture. In the aftermath of the Iranian Revolution of 1979, six members of the U.S. Embassy staff eluded capture by hiding out at the residence of Canadian ambassador Ken Taylor (Victor Garber).

16 Must-Watch TV Shows on Peacock Right Now (July 2025)

To sneak the six Americans out of the country, CIA officer Tony Mendez (Affleck) embarks on an audacious scheme to fool the Iranians into believing that a Canadian sci-fi movie is going to be filmed in their country. That means making the production look as real as possible, including all of the trappings that come with a major motion picture. The Argo team only needs to be a convincing movie production studio long enough to get their people back home. But they may be playing with fire if Mendez’s scheme is revealed.

Argo is streaming on Peacock.

‘Duplicity’ (2009)

Andor showrunner and creator Tony Gilroy wrote and directed his romantic crime comedy Duplicity, but you really need to be paying attention to follow the plot. The story unfolds in a non-linear fashion as former MI5 agent Claire Stenwick (Julia Roberts) and CIA agent Ray Koval (Clive Owen) leave their government work behind and become corporate spies.

Ray and Claire have undeniable chemistry with each other, and the only real question is whether they can trust the bond they’ve created. Betrayal may simply be in their nature, and they aren’t the only spies who are looking to cash in on corporate intel.

Duplicity is streaming on Peacock.
