Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson are reuniting for a trilogy of rom-coms called Happy Hours — and the photos from set have Us all in a chokehold.
News broke in July 2025 that Holmes was writing, directing and starring in the series of films , withJackson cast as her love interest. That same month, the real-life exes and former Dawson’s Creek costars were spotted filming together in New York City.
According to the movie’s synopsis, Happy Hours will follow a former couple (Holmes and Jackson) who cross paths years later and rekindle their romance. As they rediscover who they are together, the pair will have to balance their careers, family duties and dreams.
Happy Hours will also star Mary-Louise Parker, Constance Wu, Joe Tippett, John McGinty, Donald Webber Jr. and Nathan Darrow. Johnna Dias-Watson and Jack Martin will portray the younger versions of Holmes and Jackson’s characters.
Holmes and Jackson originally starred on Dawson’s Creek together for six seasons from 1998 to 2003 as fan favorite couple Joey Potter and Pacey Witter. The pair also famously had a real-life romance after filming the first season of the teen drama but remained close friends after their split.
