I was happy to read a letter in the Bangor Daily News opinion section about the intolerable traffic noise being endured by another woman in this state.
From what I can gather concerning the Maine driver’s handbook, it is not a right but a privilege to drive on Maine highways, including town roads.
I can name at least four traffic laws that are broken every single day on this road where I live.
Does the ordinary everyday citizen have no recourse to address this torment?
Our U.S. Constitution states that we have the right to reside on our premises in peace. Well, I am a working woman of 76. I have lived here most of my life. I have yet to witness this issue being properly addressed.
