Four hikers are stranded atop Katahdin.
The hikers became stuck on Knife Edge after dark Thursday, according to Baxter State Park Director Kevin Adam.
One of the hikers, a woman in her 30s, injured her knee, and the other three aren’t hurt, Adam said Friday.
Two park rangers reached them Friday morning and provided them with food, hot liquids and dry clothes.
But with cloudy skies, the Maine Forest Service has not been able to reach them with a helicopter. Adam said that the Maine Forest Service is evaluating when it can fly to that altitude and bring down the injured hiker.
