ELLSWORTH – Families First Community Center is thrilled to announce its 8th Annual Dinner, a special celebration marking 10 incredible years of service to families in Hancock and Washington counties. This milestone event will be held on Thursday, Sept. 18 at Big Cat’s Catering, and promises an evening of community, celebration and generosity.
Thanks to the incredible support of our sponsors, this year’s event is shaping up to be our most exciting yet. We are honored to recognize Machias Savings Bank and the Witham Family Hotels Charitable Fund as our Ruby Sponsors at the $5,000 level and S & S Exteriors as our Emerald Sponsor at $2,500. We are also grateful to our Table Sponsors and Friends Sponsors, whose generosity continues to uplift our mission.
We are still seeking additional sponsors and would love to see new partners step up — especially from Washington County, where we’ve recently expanded services. We have not yet received our first sponsor from that region, and hope this event sparks new relationships and support from across our growing service area.
The evening will feature upbeat live jazz, gourmet cuisine prepared by Alex from Big Cat’s Catering, and both live and silent auctions filled with unique items and experiences — all in support of FFCC’s vital work to help families overcome homelessness and build self-sufficient lives.
Over the past decade, FFCC has grown tremendously. In our 10th year, we launched our second strategic plan, expanded services into Washington County, and welcomed new board members who bring fresh ideas and energy to our mission. We are proud to be part of a community that cares deeply for its most vulnerable, and this anniversary celebration is a tribute to what we’ve built together — and where we’re going next.
