HGTV fans are finally getting an update on the future of Rehab Addict after it was abruptly removed amid ongoing cancellations at the network.
Host Nicole Curtis addressed when — and if — Rehab Addict will return, writing via Instagram on Sunday, July 13, “So, last Tuesday, I received the Grama Fay text, ‘Where the Hell is the show?’ I can’t make this up. I forgot to tell her.”
Curtis, 48, joked that her grandmother was just as upset as fans were about the change.
“Now, the secret is, she’s viewed, pretty much, every bit of footage and my rough cuts, but she has an 80′ tv and she likes to see the final product on there,” she noted. “So, weekend in my hometown happened. 88 years young on the boat all weekend spotting for me. We got caught in one h of a thunderstorm, right before this pic, but that made for a greater tale to tell.”

According to Curtis, she hasn’t “picked a new airdate yet” after Rehab Addict was pulled from the air. She also pointed out that the first two episodes of season 9 are available to stream on HBO Max, in addition to the rest of the series — and other specials including Rehab Addict Lake House Rescue, Rehab Addict: Detroit, Rehab Addict Rescue and Beach Flip.
“So, needless to say, there’s a lot of cool old houses to catch back up on if you need a show about old house saving vs old house remuddling 
,” she concluded. “Or you can track down Grama Fay as I promised to send her more raw footage to watch .”
Curtis previously broke her silence on the show being replaced after it only aired two episodes.
“I made the executive decision to shelf the rest of our new shows until fall. I appreciate your support and understanding for the late notice,” she wrote via Instagram on July 8. “It’s just a lot of hours (my hours) to get a show on air and we (my family + me) thought – why are we giving up summer when we have the ability to do this in the fall?”
Rehab Addict‘s latest season premiered on June 24 before My Lottery Dream Home aired in its place.
“Thank you to the powers at be at HGTV that were receptive to our idea. … Without a doubt, I, truly, am beyond happy with this decision as I just spent the day with a phone that was dead and had no worries about it,” Curtis continued. “They are airing Lottery Dream Home in my place.”

She concluded: “Fun fact, [Lottery Dream Home host] David Bromstad was my pregnancy beach buddy as we were filming and living next to each other in Gulf Shores, Alabama, for Beach Flip. … So, don’t be spreading rumors that he replaced me — I chose it.”
The update on Rehab Addict comes after Battle on the Beach, Farmhouse Fixer, Married to Real Estate, Bargain Block and Izzy Does It were all officially cancelled.
HGTV has yet to publicly address the shakeup, but a source exclusively told Us Weekly that Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa’s Flipping El Moussas is “not coming back” to the network. The same goes for Christina Haack’s Christina on the Coast, which has also “not been renewed.”
According to the insider, the trio’s The Flip Off is meant to be “back for a second season, but there is no filming date or air date yet.”
