The 2-year-old twin brother of a boy who died after being hit by an alleged drunk driver has also died of his injuries.
The two boys were being pulled in a cart on Hussey Road at around 5:15 p.m., Friday by their mother, Mollie Egold, 33, of Albion, when the three were struck by a driver who fled the scene.
The crash killed 2-year-old Bradley and left his brother, Noah, in critical condition. Noah was pronounced brain dead Sunday morning, according to a GoFundMe for the family.
On Tuesday afternoon, Maine Department of Public Safety spokesperson Shannon Moss said Noah had died of his injuries.
Egold remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition, Moss said.
The driver, Benjamin Lancaster, 44, of Albion, was arrested and made his first court appearance on Monday afternoon.
He is charged with one felony count each of manslaughter and aggravated criminal operating under the influence, Class B; two counts of aggravated criminal operating under the influence, Class C; and three counts of leaving the scene of an accident involving serious bodily injury or death.
