Two Farmington men were injured Saturday morning in what appeared to be a propane explosion.
The Farmington Fire Department received a call around 10:20 a.m. reporting an explosion at 153 Moore Ave. When crews arrived, they found the men had sustained significant burn injuries, according to Shannon Moss, spokesperson for the Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office.
Mike Warren, 68, and Jon Bubier, 62, were inside the home at the time. The property, located in a mobile home park, is owned by Bubier. The men had reportedly been cleaning the residence.
Both were taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington before being flown to Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Early evidence suggests a propane explosion, but the exact cause remains under investigation, Moss said.
