Teddi Mellencamp and Erika Jayne apparently have some thoughts about Denise Richards’ estranged husband, Aaron Phypers.
“Did you see the other ones that bit the dust?” Mellencamp, 44, shared during the Friday, July 11, episode of her iHeartRadio “Diamond in the Rough” podcast. “She said, I guess, like, six months ago that she would never believe in divorce. There’s no chance that divorce could ever happen. She’s no divorce, no divorce, never have one. And then I’m like, ‘He f***ing filed on July 4th.’”
Mellencamp alluded to Phypers, 52, not being their “favorite person.” (Mellencamp and Jayne never said Phypers or Richards’ name outright throughout the discussion.)
“He’s asking her for spousal support, OK?” Jayne said. “She’s a working mom. You know, she’s got Eloise. She’s got the two other girls that are older, obviously. But come on, man, like don’t do this.”

Mellencamp noted that Phypers was asking for “a lot” of money in support. (Richards shares daughters Sami, 21, and Lola, 20, with ex-husband Charlie Sheen. She is also the mother to adopted daughter Eloise, 14.)
Us Weekly confirmed on Monday, July 7 that Phypers had filed for divorce from Richards over the holiday weekend after six years of marriage. Court docs revealed that Phypers is seeking the return of his power tools along with spousal support. He claimed that Richards’ alleged monthly income was $250,000, claiming that he made no money over the past year.
“Hold on, he checked that they didn’t have any children together?” Mellencamp said during Friday’s podcast episode. Jayne added, “It’s interesting you should bring that up, because I clocked that too. I thought he had adopted Eloise.”
Mellencamp added, “They told us he did. … What a d***wad. It’s because he doesn’t want to have to ever pay her anything.”

Jayne doubled down that Phypers “should not be asking for spousal support” in the divorce.
“She’s a hard-working girl. I don’t care what she makes on OnlyFans, and I hope she makes $250,000, like he said,” Jayne continued. “Good for you. Leave her the f*** alone.”
Jayne — who has been going through a public divorce from Tom Girardi for years — also made it clear that she and Mellencamp “can’t assume anything” about Richards and Phypers’ split.
“We’re not inside, but I’m saying this,” she added. “Leave her the f*** alone.”
Mellencamp concluded, saying, “You’re gross, douche lord. Sorry. Very few men do I despise as much as that guy. He’s easy to despise.”
