A Bangor man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly assaulted his pregnant wife at a Brewer motel.
Edward Malone, 54, has been charged with domestic violence assault, domestic violence criminal threatening, domestic violence assault against a pregnant person, gross sexual assault and reckless conduct, according to the Brewer Police Department.
Malone’s wife called police about 4:28 p.m. Thursday to report that he was destroying their room at the Vacationland Inn and wouldn’t leave, Brewer police said Friday morning.

While a tactical team was preparing to enter the room, officers learned that security footage appeared to show Malone leaving before they arrived.
Malone was tracked to Hampden, where he was arrested about 7:34 p.m.
