
A boil water order has been issued for two Bangor streets.
That order comes after a main broke Wednesday night and then another Thursday morning near Deer Isle Road and Dirigo Drive, according to the Bangor Water District.
The district’s workers are going door to door to knock on doors and post notices about the boil water order.
The order affects people living at 49-55, 46-56, 57-63, 58-68 and 65-71 on Deer Isle Road; and 1-7, 2-8, 10-16, 9-15, 18-24, 17-23, 25-31 26-32 ,34-40 ,42-48 ,33-39 ,41-47 ,51-57 and 54-60 on Dirigo Drive.
The Bangor Water District will flush the area once repairs are completed and then take samples.
The boil water order will remain in effect until that process is completed, which could take at least 24 hours but possibly longer, according to the water district.
