Travis Kelce is ready to get his head in the game this NFL season — but what does that mean for his podcast?

During the Wednesday, July 9, episode of “New Heights,” Jason Kelce hinted at what’s next for his brother and cohost as the Kansas City Chiefs prepare for training camp.

“We have come to the end of the road,” Jason, 37, announced, revealing that the podcast is “wrapping up” its third season on July 23. “Travis is going to training camp as you all know. Whenever training camp starts, we take a hiatus from the pod, because it’s nearly impossible to do a podcast while somebody’s in training camp.”

Jason confirmed, however, that there are still a few pretaped episodes in the pipeline with special guests.

Travis Kelce Says Football Will Always ‘Be No. 1’ Amid Busy Schedule

Travis, 35, cheered at the mention of training camp, which officially kicks off July 22 and concludes August 13. The Chiefs have three preseason games on the schedule before their first game of the regular season on September 5 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The tight end is heading into his 13th season with the Chiefs, confirming his return in March after widespread speculation about his NFL future. Following a lackluster 2024 season — which ended with a Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in February — Travis opened up about deciding not to retire.

“I think the biggest thing is that I f***ing love playing the game of football,” he explained on “New Heights” in March. “I love playing, I still feel like I can play at a high level. And possibly at a higher level than I did last year, I don’t think it was my best outing. I let my guys down in a lot more moments than I helped them, especially if you look at my track record and how I’ve been in years past. I just, you know, I wanna give it a good run.”

Travis admitted he had “a bad taste in [his] mouth” about his performance last season. “I love so many people in Kansas City … it’s home for me now,” he said. “I don’t wanna leave that life yet. I put in a lot of hard work and I put in a lot of focus into being the best that I can for KC and last year it didn’t end well for us. … I f***ing love this game, man. And not only that, I love going into the building with the guys that are there.”

This summer, Travis has put in the work to be in peak physical shape — and he assured Chiefs fans that football will always come first despite his busy schedule. (The athlete has been spending plenty of downtime with his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, throughout the offseason.)

When Will Travis Kelce Retire? What He’s Said About a Possible NFL Exit

“I love this game. It’s still my childhood dream,” he said at a mandatory minicamp practice on June 18. “When I really thought about it I think, this offseason, I got back to just wanting to really focus on this game and getting the most out of this game as I possibly can. This will always be No. 1 in terms of my business world and my career path.”

Jason, meanwhile, retired in 2024 after 13 seasons with the Eagles. The decision was an emotional one for both brothers, but the pair’s podcast allows them to stay in close contact throughout the year.

“I don’t know that [our relationship] changes [in the offseason],” Jason — who quickly landed an on-camera job at ESPN after retiring — exclusively told Us Weekly at the Amazon Upfront in New York City earlier this year. “I think we have more time to do things outside of football [than we do] in football season.”

He added, “We’re both so focused on the season that’s happening, whether it’s the Eagles [and] Chiefs or the NFL landscape for the podcast. Once we’re done with the football season, then we can kind of just refocus back on family and do some of the things that we get enjoyment [from] outside of the game.”
