
A Bath man has been accused of firing a rifle around a Belgrade neighborhood.
William Bamford, 41, has been charged with reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, aggravated trafficking of a Scheduled W drug, theft by unauthorized taking, discharging a firearm near a dwelling and violating his conditions of release, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Bamford was allegedly in the Chandler and Point roads area about 5:07 p.m. Saturday yelling and firing a rifle near several homes, Moss said Monday morning.
No one was hurt during the shooting nor any property damaged.
Bamford was taken to the Kennebec County Jail in Augusta.
