President Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill is beautiful for who? Our country’s deficit? The value of the greenback globally that would likely drop making imports, including fuel, more expensive due to the United States’ increased debt? Interest rates will rise making all goods more expensive just when the Fed was getting inflation under control. Generations of our children will be left to pay this One Big Beautiful Bill of $2.4 trillion on top of the existing debt of $35 trillion.
The Republican Party has over many decades identified themselves as the fiscally responsible party. If the bill passes in its current form, that will be Trump’s legacy. And it will be the legacy of every Republican who votes for it. How would this help “Make America Great Again”?
What it will do is make corporations gross profit increase, and add to the portfolio of existing billionaires wealth. So how is this One Big Beautiful Bill good for the whole of average working Americans?
