Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are prioritizing their 4-year-old daughter, Daisy, following their split.

“They are still very much in touch and coparenting Daisy together,” a source close to the former couple exclusively told Us Weekly. “Orlando brought Daisy to meet Katy on tour before heading to the Bezos’ wedding. It’s not messy between them.”

The insider explains that Perry, 40, and Bloom, 48, are currently being flexible with the logistics involved in calling off their engagement while simultaneously figuring out their family’s new normal.

“They aren’t making drastic changes for Daisy’s sake,” the source says. “They will keep their lives in Montecito. They are prioritizing stability and consistency for Daisy.”

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Have Been ‘Spending More and More Time Apart’

Us Weekly previously confirmed that Bloom and Perry called it quits after seven years of dating.

“Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable,” a source told Us at the time. “It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.”

According to the insider, Perry and Bloom’s split has been “a long time coming” as things between them “have been tense for months.” While the duo have been apart since Perry kicked off her Lifetimes tour earlier this year, the pop star has been “keeping busy” with her remaining performances.

Perry and Bloom were first linked in January 2016, after they were spotted at multiple Golden Globes afterparties together. They briefly split in March 2017, but rekindled their romance the following year. Bloom proposed to Perry on Valentine’s Day in February 2019.

One year later, Perry announced that she was pregnant with the pair’s first baby. They welcomed Daisy in August 2020. (Bloom is also the father of son Flynn, 14, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.)

Before news broke of their split, rumors swirled that Perry and Bloom had hit a rough patch in their relationship. According to an additional insider, Bloom was keeping his struggles with Perry “close to the vest,” but had been “out and about more often” without her while she was on her tour since April.

“Katy has been very busy working, and they are apart often,” the insider explained. “That has caused tension.”

The source also shared that Perry and Bloom “never set a date for the wedding or got around to planning anything,” despite being engaged for six years.

Before their breakup, Perry and Bloom had been candid about their relationship struggles and the work they put into their romance over the years.

“I wouldn’t change it for anything, even when sometimes it feels like, ‘How do we do this?’” Bloom said on an April 2024 episode of Trevor Noah’s “What Now?” podcast. “Because we’ve got these two giant careers and lives — and hers is even … it’s like a universe sometimes. But I think I just keep coming back to her and trying to hold her hand and walk her back to the sand pit and be like … we’re just gonna build a sandcastle.”
