Barbra Streisand might not be returning to her role as Roz Focker for Meet the Parents 4.
“Oh, my God. They’d have to pay me a lot of money because I didn’t get paid what the other people got paid, and so I’m pissed off,” Streisand, 83, shared during an interview with Variety, published on Monday, June 23. “I was in the time when women were getting paid less than the men.”
She further claimed that the head of Universal at the time, Ron Meyer, “actually sent me a bonus check” following her role in the movie franchise.
“It was very sweet,” she added.

Streisand made her debut as Roz Focker in 2004’s Meet the Fockers, which was the sequel to 2000’s Meet the Parents. She took on the role once again in 2010’s Little Fockers.
The film series came up during Monday’s interview when Streisand was discussing her relationship with Ariana Grande, who was recently cast in Meet the Parents 4.
“You’re kidding,” Streisand said when she heard about Grande’s casting news.
Grande, 31, is one of the featured artists on Streisand’s upcoming album The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two. The two singers, along with Mariah Carey, will be performing a song titled “One Heart, One Voice” on the record, which is set to be released on Friday, June 27.
“They’re the hottest, biggest, most wonderful voices,” Streisand told Variety on Monday. “And they both said yes to join me.”
The singer also revealed that, yes, she’s seen Grande in Wicked.

“I showed it to my grandchildren. …They loved Wicked,” Streisand said. “I was just watching their reaction, and they were totally fine with the witches. I was surprised. A 4- and a 6-year-old, you know?”
Streisand is a grandmother to stepson Josh Brolin’s four kids, Trevor, 36, Eden, 30, Westlyn, 6, and Chapel, 4. The legendary artist has been married to James Brolin since 1998. (She is also the mother to son Jason Gould with ex-husband Elliot Gould.)
Along with Grande and Carey, 56, the upcoming album features Hozier, Bob Dylan, Tim McGraw, Josh Groban, Paul McCartney, Seal and Sting, among others.
“I’ve always loved singing duets with gifted artists. They inspire me in unique and different ways … and make our time in the studio a joy!” Streisand shared on Instagram in April, when announcing the record. “I admire all of them … and I hope that you’ll enjoy listening to our collaborations as much as I enjoyed recording with all of my wonderful partners.”
