Kristin Cavallari built Uncommon James all by herself — and she won’t let anyone forget it.

“Let’s clear this up, OK,” Kristin, 38, said during the Wednesday, June 18, episode of her Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour. “These f***ing football fans want to make s*** up and take this from me.”

She explained that it has been rumored that her ex-husband Jay Cutler “funded” the creation of her “lifestyle brand” — but that’s not actually the way things went down.

“I wanted women to be able to afford great pieces that they could mix and match. We have just expanded tremendously. We have four stores, we’re looking to open up a lot more,” Kristin continued. “Our revenue is close to $50 million a year.”

The Laguna Beach alum also made it clear that she is “100 percent” the owner of Uncommon James.

“I’ve never taken any outside funding,” Kristin added. “I have never gotten a penny from my ex-husband. I didn’t get any money from our divorce, so let’s just clear that up. Thank you.”

Kristin and Jay were married for 10 years before announcing their decision to separate in April 2020. They went through a tumultuous divorce before finalizing the end of their marriage two years later. (The exes share kids Camden, 12, Jaxon, 11, and Saylor, 9.)

Uncommon James launched in 2017 and opened its first free-standing store in Nashville the following year. Kristin chronicled her ups and downs as a business owner during the three seasons of her show Very Cavallari, which aired from 2018 to 2020.

Kristin explained this week’s Us Weekly cover story why she felt it was important to discuss Uncommon James’ ownership during Tuesday’s episode.

Why Kristin Cavallari Is ‘Thankful’ for Jay Cutler Marriage Despite Divorce

“I would say that’s one of the bigger misconceptions I see about me,” she said of the claims her ex-husband helped fund her brand. “I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished on my own.”

This week’s episode of Honestly Cavallari was all about being a football wife (or girlfriend) and despite their difficult breakup, things for Kirstin weren’t all that bad. (When Kristin was married to Jay, he mainly played quarterback for the Chicago Bears.)

“My experience was actually amazing. I didn’t go through any of the stereotypical drama you hear about,” she said, referring to life as a professional athlete’s wife. “I loved the other women, and everyone was kind to me when I came in. That was a fun time, especially after I had kids and started taking them to the games. I will forever look at that time with fond memories.”

Honestly Cavallari: The Headline Tour airs on E! Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET.
