One person was killed in a house fire Saturday night in Caribou.
According to the Caribou Fire & Ambulance Department, the fire at 32 Hillcrest Ave. was reported shortly before 10:30 p.m.
When fire crews arrived, they found heavy fire inside the home. During their search and firefighting efforts, they found one person dead inside the house.
Fire crews battled the blaze for several hours, according to the fire department’s social media post.
The fire investigation has been turned over to Maine State Fire Marshal’s Office.
