Billy Bush is coming to longtime friend Scott Wolf’s defense amid his recent split from wife Kelley Wolf.
“I know both Kelley and Scott very, very well. Scott is truly one of my best friends,” the TV host, 53, said in a video uploaded to Instagram on Friday, June 13, noting that the pair recently spent time together watching the Masters and going to a soccer game with their children.
Bush continued: “I can tell you this, there is zero truth to anything abusive by Scott. He is the kindest, sweetest person. He is all of that and more.”
While Bush has a strong friendship with Scott, he is also close to Kelley, 48, and said he’d recently spoken to her as well.

“Kelly is getting the help she needs. I talked to her myself one on one personally,” he said. “She’s got excellent parents, they’re on it. She’s a beautiful person and so is Scott.”
Earlier on Friday, Kelley raised concern when she was posted an Instagram video of her seemingly being detained by police. The clip, in which Kelley alleged, “I think Scott Wolf is abusing me,” showed her being handcuffed by law enforcement.
In a follow up post hours later, Kelley claimed that she was “taken against [her] will.”
“This is horrible,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories, sharing an image of what appeared to be a police holding room. “Please check in on my kids. Also … I am happy! Happier than I have ever been. I have NO idea why or how this is happening in AMERICA.”
Utah County, Utah law enforcement later confirmed that Kelley had been taken to a hospital.
“Deputies responded to the Sundance Resort for a report of a female that needed some help,” read a statement to People on Friday. “Upon speaking with the female, our Deputies learned that she had made concerning comments to a family member, and she also made similar comments to our Deputies. For that reason, our Deputies transported the female to a local hospital.”
Scott has not addressed the abuse allegations.

Scott, 57, and Kelley made headlines earlier this week when she announced that they had called it quits after 21 years of marriage.

Scott and Kelley tied the knot in 2004 and share kids Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and Lucy, 11. After news broke of Scott and Kelley’s split, the Party of Five alum broke his silence.
“After 21 years of marriage, I have made the most difficult decision of my life, and filed for divorce from my wife Kelley,” Scott said in a statement to People on Wednesday. “Our children have always been, and continue to be, the loves of our lives and our every priority, so I kindly ask for privacy at this time as we help guide them through this new chapter.”
