A 5-year-old boy was hit by a car Thursday in Auburn.
The boy left his family’s Poland Road home through a small window about 12:52 p.m., according to the Auburn Police Department.
He ran out into the road, where he was hit by a 2010 Subaru Outback driven by a Poland woman, Auburn police said.
The boy was seriously hurt, but his injuries aren’t considered life-threatening. He was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
No charges are expected.
The investigation is ongoing.
