As FBI Agent Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) soon learns, each tattoo on Jane Doe’s body is a clue — not just to her identity, but to a crime or conspiracy that the FBI must solve. Jane also begins to experience flashbacks related to the crimes in question, revealing that she has combat and surveillance training of her own.
Kurt and Jane must work together to unravel the mystery of Jane’s identity and stop the crimes to which she is linked. It’s a completely original concept that stands out amid hundreds of crime dramas.

The relationship between Kurt and Jane forms the heart of Blindspot, and Alexander and Sullivan imbue their characters with strength, charm and vulnerability that makes them captivating to watch together.

Without giving too much away, we’ll just say that Kurt has a shocking connection to Jane Doe’s past, and it’s fascinating to watch how that information is revealed throughout the series. Their evolving relationship is one of those great long-term TV pairings: genuine, romantic and never stale.
It’s a Perfect Binge Show
Blindspot’s success on Netflix is probably because it’s better suited for binge viewing than it is for week-to-week. The series’ mysteries and clues are extremely suspenseful, and watching several episodes at a time allows viewers to fully immerse themselves in the theories and twists.

Blindspot also has a satisfying ending, which makes it stand out amongst the many crime dramas on Netflix. Its fifth season ends in a concrete way rather than on a cliffhanger, but it still has enough dark and twisty drama to keep it from being cheesy or formulaic. With five seasons, each around 22 episodes, it provides many hours of entertainment, but it still feels like a contained world and tells a complete story. It’s a perfect Netflix binge show — no wonder it’s become such a hit on the platform!
