A serious crash has shut down Route 1 in Hancock.
The crash happened between Route 182, also known as Franklin Road, and Old Route 1, according to the Hancock Volunteer Fire Department.
That means the only way to get to Ellsworth from Sullivan is to take Route 200, also known as Bert Gray Road, to Route 182.
For people heading Down East, they need to take Route 182 to Route 200 to get back onto Route 1.
There is currently no estimated time for the road to reopen.
