King Charles III is going viral — but this time, it’s not because of any family drama.

Charles, 76, visited the Royal Regiment of Artillery in Larkhill, England, on Friday, June 6, to meet a group of military personnel. The official royal family Instagram account posted a photo following the outing.

“His Majesty also heard about the Regiment’s training and equipment – before being invited to fire a L118 Light Gun himself!” the caption read. “To commemorate His Majesty’s first visit as Captain General, The King was presented with an engraved 105mm Cartridge which was fired during Their Majesties’ Coronation.”

Followers were quick to fixate on one detail that had nothing to do with the monarch. Social media commenters called out the man wearing a green beret in the background of the photo. He has since been dubbed “hot beret man” in the comments section.

“Are we not going to talk about green beret guy in the first picture? Good heavens he’s handsome!” one of the top comments read. Another person added, “God save the king, that’s for sure. But who is the guy in the background?”

A third person joked: “The photographer understood the assignment.”

Others noted that they went straight to read the comments after seeing the image.

The man in question wore a camouflage uniform paired with a green beret (duh) and a soft smile. However, his broad stature seemed to be what everyone was paying attention to, especially since his muscles were on full display.

A woman named Sharon Topham seemingly identified herself as the soldier’s brother — and yes, he’s aware of all the attention he’s garnering online. (Topham also made it clear to those who were wondering that he’s her only brother.)

“Loving these comments! He’s my brother he’s 46 and not single sorry ladies,” she wrote. When asked whether her brother knew about the thirsty comments section, Topham responded, “He’s seen them all.”

The royal family has not, unfortunately, weighed in on the man in the green beret.

King Charles Is All Smiles Giving William New Military Role Linked to Harry

Charles’ outing comes as his ongoing feud with son Prince Harry continues to make headlines. The father-son duo hit another bump in the road last month with Harry, 40, claiming that Charles “won’t speak to me” in a bombshell BBC interview.

The Duke of Sussex also issued a public plea to his family to reconcile after losing his appeal for government-funded security. (Harry hinted that his father had something to do with the loss in the same interview.)

“There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore,” Harry stated. “Life is precious. I don’t know how much longer my father has.”
