After a May full of buzzy series premieres like The Four Seasons and Sirens on Netflix, the biggest news on the platform for June is the return of some highly anticipated series that rank as the streamer’s most popular shows ever.

Popular family/crime drama Ginny & Georgia and Korean hit Squid Game are both coming to the platform for their third seasons.

Ginny & Georgia will kick off the month, while Squid Game will close it out.

In addition, we’re looking forward to Power Moves, a new docuseries from Shaquille O’Neal. Here’s what you need to know about these series.

‘Power Moves With Shaquille O’Neal’ (June 4)

If you’re cynical, you might look at the trailer for this new series and say it’s basically just a commercial for Reebok. If you’re interested in the intersection of fashion, sports and commerce, you might look at the trailer and say, “Wow, that’s a really interesting commercial for Reebok!” But we think it’s kind of a fascinating move.

Reebok is acknowledging that as a brand, it’s lost the street cred that other activewear brands like Puma or Nike have. O’Neal is known for his many successful brand deals, so it should be fascinating to see how he (along with women’s basketball star Angel Reese) hopes to revitalize the brand.

‘Ginny & Georgia’ Teases Mother-Daughter Division in 1st Look at Season 3

‘Ginny & Georgia’ Season 3 (June 5)

Season 2 of Ginny & Georgia, the Netflix hit about a single mom with a dark past (Georgia Miller, played by Brianne Howey) who moves to a small town in Massachusetts with her teenage daughter  (Ginny, portrayed by Antonia Gentry) and pre-teen son. Over the past two seasons, Georgia, Ginny and Austin (Diesel La Torraca) have attempted to put down roots in Wellsbury, MA, despite conflict with Georgia’s exes and Ginny’s considerable adolescent drama.

Season 2 ended on a huge cliffhanger, leaving fans desperate to learn the fate of the Miller family. Ginny & Georgia feels like Gilmore Girls meets Breaking Bad, blending family drama with dark crime storylines. Though the tonal swings are sometimes jarring, the characters are so lovable you’re sure to get invested. Catch up on the first two seasons before June 5.

‘Squid Game’ Season 3 (June 27)

Everything Leaving Netflix in May 2025

Korean mega-hit Squid Game is coming to an end at the end of this month with its third and final season. In this dystopian survival thriller, people desperate for money enter into a deadly competition, in which they could walk away with an enormous prize or lose their lives.

The season 2 finale saw Player 456, Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), vowing to dismantle the Squid Game organization after witnessing its horrifying reach. While few plot details have been released about the season, we can expect plenty of violence mixed with devastating social commentary about capitalism and class divisions.

Catch up on the first two seasons, plus the reality show Squid Game: The Challenge, on Netflix before it all comes to an end.
