The fifth annual Brewer Riverwalk Festival will feature food trucks, family activities and live performances by local groups when it returns to the waterfront on June 7.
The festival’s activities kick off at 11 a.m. and continue into the evening until fireworks over the Riverwalk at 9 p.m. end the day. Returning activities this year include live music, magician and theater performances, tables for local businesses and organizations, a craft fair, food trucks, and activities for children.
Activities, vendors, food and drink options, and performances will be scattered along the Riverwalk, the path’s parking areas and up Center Street, which will be closed to vehicle traffic for the day.

Organized by the city and local businesses, the daylong event celebrates Brewer’s paved riverfront trail, which has become a prominent source of pride for the community. In previous years, the festival has drawn more than 2,000 attendees.
The city is encouraging visitors to park for free at the Joseph L. Ferris Community Center where a free shuttle bus will also be available to bring guests from to the downtown and Riverwalk area.
Numerous offerings, such as a beer tent, touch-a-truck, cornhole tournament and free ceramic painting will be available throughout the day. Other notable attractions include a free watermelon eating competition, which will take place at noon in the Riverwalk’s Children’s Garden, and a “strolling magician,” who can be found on the path from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
A complete list of the festival’s activities and performances and a map of where they’ll take place is available on the city’s website.
