Sheree Burton continues to celebrate her love story with husband Jason Amador — despite legal drama with her ex.
As Sheree, 47, finds herself in an ongoing custody battle with General Hospital star Steve Burton, the fitness trainer appears to be focused on inspiring her followers to live full, healthy lives.
“It took me over 40 years to realize that no one was coming to save me. If I wanted something to change, I had to be the one to change it,” Sheree wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, May 27. “No more waiting for the ‘right’ time. No more taking care of everyone else but neglecting myself. No more hoping things would magically shift. … Because the truth is: what you don’t change, you choose.”
Sheree — who calls herself a sustainable fat loss specialist online — included video of herself working out in the gym as well as footage of herself kissing Amador, 53.

The couple, who have been together since at least 2023, got married in February and share two daughters: Izabella, 2, and Addy, 15 months. (Sheree also shares three older children with Burton, 54.)
“We started our family almost four years ago. Two surprise pregnancies, bringing two angles into the world, pushing ourselves to be our best physically,” Sheree wrote via Instagram on February 20 alongside a video of Amador. “We’ve put the work in and I can tell you it is 100 percent worth every bit of it.”
That’s not to say every day is a walk in the park.
Sheree and her ex-husband continue to face off in court regarding custody of their youngest daughter Brooklyn. (The couple also share adult children Makena and Jack.)
The exes first announced their split in May 2022 after 23 years of marriage. At the time, Burton revealed that Sheree was pregnant again, but said “the child is not mine.”
To this day, Sheree said it’s still hard to talk about divorce.
“It’s still difficult for me to say the D word and probably will always be. It’s not something you grow up wanting or expecting,” she wrote via Instagram in October 2024. “But I refuse to let my circumstances define ME or WHO I AM. I will define my circumstances! I’m choosing to heal, and do the inner work that I’ve needed to do for so long! I’m coming out of this stronger than ever and it feels amazing.”

While Sheree joked that her two youngest kids keep her young, she spends her days living a healthy lifestyle alongside Amador. In addition to no alcohol and at least seven hours of sleep, the pair focus on weight training and stress management.
They also both take time to express gratitude for all of the good around them.
“We’re not here to be ‘normal,’” she wrote via Instagram on April 25. “We’re here to be EXCEPTIONAL and redefine ‘normal.’ We didn’t ‘plan’ to have more children but it’s been absolutely amazing and a blessing that we never saw coming.”
