A Pittsfield woman died Sunday afternoon in a house fire.
The fire broke out at 58-year-old Gili Brown’s Cardinal Street home about 3:56 p.m., according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Once firefighters gained control of the blaze, they found her died inside, Moss said Monday.
Her body was taken to the Maine medical examiner’s office for positive identification.
Investigators believe the fire was started by an overloaded power strip.
