
The May nor’easter will continue to wind down in Maine through the day on Friday. Gradually drying weather and warming temperatures are expected through Memorial Day weekend into next week.
Friday will start out wet, but it will get drier through the day with only a few showers lingering into the afternoon. It will be very cool, with highs only in the 40s.
The lingering storm system will keep a few showers in the forecast for Saturday, especially in the morning. Highs will be in the low 50s for the afternoon.
Nicer weather finally starts to arrive Sunday. Temperatures should make it to 60 degrees in most spots with more clouds than sun.
Memorial Day looks like the nicest day of the long weekend with highs in the mid- to high 60s with a mix of sun and clouds. A shower can’t completely be ruled out.
Even warmer and nicer weather is in store for Tuesday. Highs will be in the low to mid-70s under sunny skies.
Nice weather continues into Wednesday and Thursday as the pattern finally favors warmer temperatures. Highs will range from the low 70s at the coast to mid-70s inland with plenty of sunshine.
