Please put Ukraine back on the front pages of our newspapers and our lives! While our courts are working to uphold our U.S. constitutional rights through the time-consuming procedures of “due process,” our country is no longer focusing on the fate of Ukraine and the free world.
We need to reaffirm our support of NATO and all countries that are fighting against the corruption being imposed by “oligarchies,” who put greed and power over people and peace.
Supporting Ukraine puts millions of Americans to work, defers U.S. military involvement and cements the 80 years of solidarity that we have built with our brave allies in Europe and around the world.
We are in the process of losing our ability to lead, to negotiate for the betterment of all people, by resorting to the isolationism of the early 1900s and the robber baron philosophy of the late 1800s.
I believe we need to stand with those who are protesting the proposed Project 2025 radical changes from democracy towards Christian nationalism. To me, Christian nationalism in no way reflects our Christian heritage or any other religious belief in our right to choose freedom over tyranny.
We have a Congress that is inert due to the threat of both political and physical retribution, a sign we are quietly abdicating our democratic responsibilities.
This is America. We all need to stand tall by supporting Ukraine and the democratic values that connect us as Americans.
