An electrical fire broke out at Brewer High School on Thursday morning.
The fire was isolated to the school’s roof, according to the city of Brewer.
Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze, but power has been cut off to the school as a precaution.
Administrators dismissed classes early as a result.
“The safety of our students, staff, and community remains our top priority. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide further updates as necessary,” the city said.
