Paramount+ is the first destination for any Paramount movies that hit theaters. But it also has a great selection of films from Paramount’s vast library.

This month, Paramount added the acclaimed biographical drama Erin Brockovich starring Julia Roberts, as well as a classic South Korean action flick, Oldboy.

Those are just two of the must-see movies on Paramount+ right now that you can find below.

Note that The Last Stop in Yuma County is only available on the Paramount+ with Showtime tier. Everything else is available on all tiers.

‘Erin Brockovich’ (2000)

Julia Roberts won Best Actress at the Oscars for her fiery turn as the title character in Erin Brockovich. Director Steven Soderbergh dramatized the true story of how Brockovich willed her way to a job with attorney Edward L. Masry (Albert Finney). Brockovich may not be a legal expert, but she does have a way with people. That’s how she discovers a massive cover-up by the Pacific Gas and Electric Company.

Through her unorthodox investigation, Brockovich learns that Pacific Gas knowingly contaminated the groundwater in Hinkley, California, with a carcinogenic chemical compound and lied to the townspeople about it. That sets up a legal fight that may be punching above Masry’s weight, but Brockovich is his ace in the hole.

Erin Brockovich is streaming on Paramount+.

‘Oldboy’ (2003)

Oldboy is one of the greatest action movies to come out of South Korea, and it blew away its American remake as well. Choi Min-sik stars as Oh Dae-su, a businessman whose life was stolen from him when he was still young. Dae-su was abducted and imprisoned in a sealed room for 15 years. As his captor mocked him, Dae-su learned that he had been framed for murdering his wife.

In 2003, Dae-su is suddenly released with a challenge from his captor to find him. After spending so long in isolation, Dae-su isn’t the same person he used to be. And there’s very little he won’t do to get his revenge on the man who ruined him.

Oldboy is streaming on Paramount+.

‘The Last Stop in Yuma County’ (2023)

The Last Stop in Yuma County didn’t get much traction in theaters, but this is one of the best neo-Westerns in years. The story is set in the ‘70s, and the shortage of gasoline has left an unnamed knife salesman (Jim Cummings) stuck at a diner with a waitress named Charlotte (Jocelin Donahue) when a pair of armed bank robbers come strolling in.

Travis (Nicholas Logan) and Beau (Vernon Richard Brake) just want to get gas and escape from the cops, but they’re just as trapped as hostages, Charlotte and the salesman. As the situation escalates, the salesman will have to determine just how far he’s willing to go to make it out of the diner alive.

‘Cop Land’ (1997)

Cop Land was only the second feature film directed by James Mangold (A Complete Unknown), and everyone at the time thought this would be the movie to get Sylvester Stallone an Oscar for Best Actor. Contrary to his action hero persona at the time, Stallone portrayed Sheriff Freddy Heffin as a pathetic wannabe cop who turned a blind eye to police corruption in his small town.

Internal Affairs investigator Moe Tilden (Robert De Niro) can’t convince Freddy to turn on Ray Donlan (Harvey Keitel), the dirtiest cop around. But Ray’s nephew, Murray Babitch (Michael Rapaport), is stuck in a scandal that he can’t cover up, Freddy has to reexamine who he’s really loyal to and why.

Cop Land is streaming on Paramount+.

‘Braveheart’ (1995)

If there’s a Citizen Kane of epic movies about 13th-century heroes of Scottish independence, it’s Braveheart. Mel Gibson’s performance as William Wallace was Oscar-worthy, but the only prizes that he took home at the Academy Awards were for Best Picture and Best Director.

Braveheart isn’t exactly a history lesson, but it’s a rousing story about Wallace’s attempt to free his country from the grasp of King Edward I (Patrick McGoohan). When the king’s men murder Wallace’s bride, Murron MacClannough (Catherine McCormack), he starts a revolution against the English that spreads like wildfire. Even with the support of his people, Wallace can’t account for those who would betray him for their own ambitions.

Braveheart is streaming on Paramount+.

‘Regarding Henry’ (1991)

You may recognize a very young John Leguizamo as the man who tries to kill Harrison Ford’s Henry Turner in Regarding Henry. However, the movie doesn’t focus on the botched robbery that nearly ends Henry’s life  — it’s about everything that comes after that traumatic event.

Henry emerges from his near-death experience with brain damage and little memory of his life before. His wife Sarah (Annette Bening) and their daughter Rachel (Mikki Allen) essentially have to get used to Henry’s new persona and recalibrate their respective relationships with him. And the more Henry learns about the man he used to be, the less he likes himself.

Regarding Henry is streaming on Paramount+.
