Two women have been arrested after police stopped them Tuesday in a car with a handwritten plate.
Naiomi Viereck, 35, was charged with drug trafficking, refusing to submit to arrest and providing a false name, while 44-year-old Linda Pepin was arrested for failing to appear in court, according to the Bridgton Police Department.
The pair were traveling in a gray Subaru Outback on Willis Park Road in Bridgton about 12:38 a.m. when an officer tried to stop them for having a handwritten registration plate, Bridgton police said.
They allegedly didn’t stop for the officer for nearly a mile.
During a search of their vehicle, police found 4 grams of fentanyl, 15.5 grams of methamphetamine, 14 grams of cocaine, drug paraphernalia, cash and suspected evidence of drug trafficking, according to police.
Viereck and Pepin were taken to the Cumberland County Jail in Portland.
